Degasification Membranes

DIC is a leading global manufacturer of degassing membranes, developing proprietary non porous membranes that utilize surface skin layers to enhance degassing performance. This technology improves operational efficiency, performance, and ensures product quality for customers worldwide. The use of DIC degassing membrane by Jishui Company is widely applied in ultrapure water and desalinated water processes, replacing traditional processes such as vacuum degassing tower, forced ventilation decarbonization tower, and thermal deaerator. Its ammonia removal efficiency in sewage treatment processes is higher than that of distillation ammonia removal processes.

1> Gases dissolve in water under atmospheric conditions until equilibrium is reached.

2> When vacuum or blowing gas is introduced into the membrane filament, the equilibrium of gas-liquid dissolution is disrupted.

3> The driving force generated thereby promotes the transfer of dissolved oxygen gases from the liquid phase to the gas phase.

Operation mode of degassing membrane:

vacuum

Blow and sweep

Combination (vacuum+blowing)

Vacuuming reduces the gas partial pressure inside the membrane filament, causing dissolved gases to move towards the gas phase, and then the gas is expelled through a vacuum pump. The removal efficiency is affected by the vacuum degree, and the higher the vacuum degree, the lower the concentration of dissolved gases in the liquid phase.

When using a gas different from the gas being removed for blowing, the partial pressure of the gas being removed inside the hollow fiber continuously decreases, allowing the gas to be carried outside the shell for removal. The removal efficiency depends on the purity of the blowing gas.

Combination mode is a mode that combines vacuum pumping with gas blowing.
